If you have been comparing waterfall tours from Split, the prices can look confusing. A short Krka excursion may be advertised at a low headline price, while a two-day Krka and Plitvice trip costs considerably more.
They are not the same purchase.
The NP Tours route is a two-day, one-night journey. It starts in Split, visits Krka on day one, continues inland for dinner and an overnight stay near Plitvice, then visits Plitvice early on day two before returning to Split. You are paying for a connected route rather than two separate out-and-back day trips.

Why do some older pages still show €285?
You may still find a €285 price in an old PDF, a cached Google result or a third-party reseller description. That was an earlier price, not the current 2027 seasonal price.
The live NP Tours calendar and the written confirmation for your chosen departure are the current references. For 2027, the direct price is €290 in May and October, €320 in June and September, and €335 in July and August.
The same caution applies to old wording about swimming, “exclusive access” or guaranteed crowd-free visits. Those claims do not override current national-park rules or the written details for your departure.

What the overnight itinerary currently covers
The current public itinerary brings the main pieces of the journey together:
- organised travel from Split to Krka, onward to the Plitvice area and back to Split;
- the two-day route planning between both national parks;
- one night in cabin-style accommodation near Plitvice;
- dinner with the group on day one;
- breakfast before the Plitvice visit on day two; and
- local guiding or hosting according to the confirmed departure arrangements.
The point is not simply to add a hotel night. Continuing inland after Krka removes the unnecessary return to Split and places the group close to Plitvice for the following morning.
That is the practical advantage of the overnight. It does not create private access or guarantee an empty national park. It gives the itinerary a better starting position before many same-day visitors arrive from the coast.

What should you confirm before payment?
Always use the written confirmation for your chosen departure as the final reference.
In particular, confirm:
- the exact meeting point and departure time in Split;
- the accommodation arrangement for your group;
- which meals are included;
- how park admission is being handled for that departure;
- the planned return window;
- any personal expenses or optional purchases; and
- the cancellation and payment terms that apply to your booking.
For current public admission information, use the official Plitvice Lakes price list and the official Krka National Park price page. The parks set their own prices and procedures, so 2026 figures should not be presented as guaranteed 2027 costs.
Do not rely on an old blog post or marketplace description for the final commercial terms. Park procedures and operating arrangements can change, and a reseller page may not reflect the newest direct information.
The public itinerary describes a lunch stop on day two but does not state that lunch is included. Unless your written confirmation says otherwise, it is sensible to budget for that meal separately.
Why a cheap day-trip price is not a fair comparison
A headline day-trip price may cover little more than transport and basic tour organisation. Park entry, food and other items can be separate. It may also return you to Split after each park.

If you visit Krka and Plitvice on two independent day trips, your comparison should include the complete two-day cost:
- two separate departures from Split;
- two return journeys;
- the longer same-day drive to and from Plitvice;
- any park admission not included in the advertised price;
- meals and drinks;
- accommodation if you decide to avoid the long Plitvice return day; and
- the time spent repeating the same road south.
The lowest advertised number is therefore not automatically the lowest total cost—or the best use of two holiday days.
The overnight route joins the journeys together. Krka becomes day one, the transfer inland positions the group for the night, and Plitvice gets the freshest part of day two.

Is the tour good value for every traveller?
Not necessarily—and that is worth saying plainly.
If you only want to visit Krka, a one-day trip is the simpler and cheaper choice. If you have a rental car, enjoy planning independently and already need accommodation near Plitvice, organising the route yourself may suit you better.
The two-day tour makes more sense if you:
- want to see both parks from Split;
- do not want to drive or organise a separate overnight stay;
- prefer one connected itinerary to two long return trips;
- value beginning the Plitvice visit close to the park; and
- want the main transport, accommodation and group arrangements coordinated for you.
Krka and Plitvice are also genuinely different landscapes. Krka offers Dalmatian river scenery and the broad cascades around Skradinski buk. Plitvice is a larger lake-and-forest experience with long boardwalk routes and sixteen connected lakes.

The operating range matters
The published operating range is a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 48 passengers. A date that has not yet reached the minimum is not the same as a confirmed departure.
That is why the calendar uses an enquiry step. NP Tours can tell you whether the date is confirmed, still building or unsuitable before asking you to proceed.
This is particularly important when arranging flights, ferries or a Croatia sailing week around the tour. Keep expensive onward bookings flexible until the departure status and timing are clear.
A note about swimming
Swimming is prohibited inside both Krka National Park and Plitvice Lakes National Park, including at Skradinski Buk and Roški Slap. Older articles and photographs can create the wrong expectation.
After leaving the protected Krka visit, the NP Tours route may include a separate stop at the river beach in Skradin, near the park boat entrance, when weather, water conditions, safety and current local signs allow. This is not swimming inside either national park and is not a guaranteed inclusion.
